Vintage early 1960’s TAD DAVIS CLASSIC Clasiden Laminated wood tennis racket with 1950’s aluminum “Thunder” screw down star press (one prong on press is half broken off, see last picture for this). Custom made in USA by the T.A. Davis Co. in California. Limited Clasiden Edition. Cross Grained Laminated Wood. “KINGS OF THE COURT” motto sticker fully intact as is the “VIRTUTE DUCE COMITE FORTUNA” logo. Leather Grip size is 4 L. Grip size and racket is great for a teenager, lady, or medium size handed man. Very tight, taught stringing. No warping. Gut strings. This near 60 year old Classic wood racket has only been lightly and carefully used. Grip in great condition, no stickiness or other potential age related problems. This racket is in tip top 1960’s condition, like it’s been in a time capsule. Lamination all intact. Great collectible and usable American vintage racket. For those who want a wall hanging or framable Midcentury Americana, this is a great piece of tennis memorabilia.
