The Kaypro II was released in 1982 by Non-Linear Systems, which later became Kaypro Corporation.
It was one of the earliest and most popular portable CP/M computers of its time, known for its rugged metal case, built-in 9” green monochrome CRT, dual 5.25” floppy drives, and bundled software. Despite being called “II,” it was actually Kaypro’s first mass-produced model — they skipped “Kaypro I” for marketing reasons.
