Adorable vintage Kasuga ware black cat tea pot. Made of red ware, by Kasuga ware Japan ceramics made in 1950's. This kitty has been well taken care of for many years!
The black glaze is glossy- it was hard to take pictures of without reflections. The hand painted eyes, ears, and whiskers are in great condition. Free from chips, cracks, and crazing. In great condition!
Measures 7.5" with the lid on. From spout to handle it measures 7" across.
Great accent piece to a kitchen shelf or addition to any collection.
Use care when cleaning by using a gentle, damp cloth. Washing in warm water and dish soap can remove the cold paint (painted details such as facial features and red bow.)
