Unique bohemian Islamic style lamp with hanging hook, styled after Turkish water jug. Hand stamped mixed metal with partial "United Arab Republic" stamp.
The United Arab Republic used various metal marks and stamps on its products, particularly during its existence from 1958 to 1961. "United Arab Republic (U.A.R.), political union of Egypt and Syria proclaimed on February 1, 1958, and ratified in nationwide plebiscites later that month. It ended on September 28, 1961, when Syria, following a military coup, declared itself independent of Egypt."
Height to top of final 26 inches, approximately 8 inches at its widest. Cord 6 feet. Lamp works as it should.
