Vintage Buddhist / Hindu Indra brooch. Large solid brass design with a figural depiction of a god / goddess seated in the pose of Indra—legs crossed with one hand on knee and one behind as seen in Southeast Asian statues (Thai, Cambodian, Tibetan, or Nepalese). Indra is revered in both Hinduism and Buddhism. This brooch has a very solid weighty feel with nice thickness. Antique “C” style clasp. Rare and highly collectible. Acquired from a private estate collection. 2.5” length and 2” width. Excellent pre-owned condition.
