This gorgeous sculpted vase would be absolutely perfect with the right decor. Made by stacking coils of clay and sculpting the form from the bottom up then scraping the texture with various tools. There are a few slight impressions from the fingers of the artist throughout the piece, adding to its charm once it has drawn you in. The whole process definitely took a lot of time and patience, not to mention skill. The lines are very concise and the feel is sublime. This piece is very heavy, even for its size.
Artist remains unknown to me, and the age is very hard to decipher on ceramics in mint condition, but I am certain this piece is pre 1990. I acquired this at an estate sale and am no longer displaying it.
Measures 7" tall and 9" wide in the hips.
