Black and white engraved frontispiece protected with tissue guard, as well as numerous full-page and in-text illustrations throughout. Includes beautiful illustrated end papers consisting of a floral design with various small bright silver illustrations.
Original publisher's binding consisting of brown cloth-covered beveled boards with a stamped black, silver, and gold gilt design along the front cover and spine. The title and author names are in bright silver along the front cover and spine. All three paper edges in a bright gold gilt finish.
