I've always loved the steampunk-like design of the Elega DR-232CH vintage headphones with their dual drivers. The tweeter driver is not bad and I kept it, but the main driver in the original headphones severely lacked bass, so I searched for an appropriate driver that could work with them, which was not easy because the headphone is very thin and the driver size must also be less than 40 mm. I eventually found that the Sony MDR-IF5000 fit and worked perfectly, and it is an excellent driver that gives these headphones a bass-heavy sound. I kept the original pads but replaced the head cushion with a more comfortable band and added some leather features. These now offer a unique steampunk design with excellent bass-heavy sound in a very comfortable and lightweight chassis.
No case, stand or box included.
