Spring Mounts by Mason Industries

Equipment must be installed on resilient mountings designed and rated to withstand seismic forces from all directions. The snubber should be adjustable upwards and allow up to 1/4" (6mm) travel in vertical and horizontal directions before touching the resilient snubbing collars. Mountings must have an Anchorage Preapproval 'OPA' Number from OSHPD in California, certifying minimum listed horizontal and vertical load ratings. All mountings must have adjusting bolts securely bolted to the equipment. Spring diameters should be at least 0.8 times the compressed height of the spring at rated load. Springs must have a minimum additional travel to solid equal to 50% of the rated deflection. Mountings must have at least 2 spring inspection ports. Submittals should include spring diameters, deflections, and calculations signed by a registered engineer, proving that the seismic loads the mountings must resist have been accurately calculated. Mountings must be type SSLFH, manufactured by Mason Industries, Inc.
