++With a focus on natural materials and artisanal plant dyeing processes, RANRA (formerly known as Arnar Már Jónsson) reworks one of Salomon’s performance footwear silhouettes in the Cross Pro. Natural rubber, cork, and leather are paired with water-repellent ventile cotton canvas to ensure the shoe retains its technical, function-first prowess. Instead of common glues and adhesives often used on performance sneakers, RANRA opts for more traditional shoemaking construction methods, as we see exposed stitching throughout the silhouette. The canvas upper is then dyed by hand in small batches to deliver distinctive variations in color and texture, making each unit marginally unique to itself.
