This charming mid-century glazed ceramic figurine grouping features a young boy in colorful tunic, blue shorts, and red shoes, posed with a fierce yet whimsical striped tiger — inspired by the classic children’s tale The Story of Little Black Sambo. Produced by Ceramic Arts Studio (Madison, WI, 1940-1955), known for their delightful character figurines.
Maker’s Mark: Clearly stamped on base as “CERAMIC ARTS STUDIO”

Condition: Very good vintage — no chips/cracks/repairs noted. Light crazing/wear typical of age (see photos). Great shelf/curio piece!
Note: This reflects 1950s pop culture and children’s literature. Sold as a historical collectible.
