Rare, Antique Hand Crafted, Norwegian Bentwood, Memory Box

Lovely little Antique Norwegian Memory Box, although actual age is unknown, This piece is authentic, been in the same family for several generations, Hand painted. On the front I can't figure if it's Danish or Norwegian, translates 'A Root Memory?' Paint is quite worn in places, (lid removed by holding top of lid steady and gently easing raised carving backwards) measures approximately 6.5" long across the lid (6" base) just under 4" wide across the lid, (4.5" base) 3 1/4" high (not including raised ends) Please note, coloring shown is a little brighter than it actually is.
