This is one of the most rare old US notes, mentioned on the list at #67 in the 100 greatest american currency notes.
Millions of these notes were originally issued in the late 1800’s, however the vast majority of these notes were redeemed for silver in the early 1900’s, leaving an extremely small margin of just less than 4,000 notes left remaining. This is one of those rare 4,000 notes still in existence.
