The thread gauge ring must screw onto the thread of the work piece manually, without excessive force, along its entire length. If this is not possible, the thread does not meet the required standards (defective). The reference temperature for work pieces and gauges is 20°C. Upon request, VÖLKEL can provide a factory calibration certificate (price on inquiry). Calibration is performed in an independent testing laboratory, following the specified standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI), using IAC thread scanners.

• Manual Threading Test: The Gewindelehrring should screw onto the Werkstück's thread smoothly by hand without excessive force
• Thread Mismatch Indicator: If the Gewindelehrring cannot be screwed onto the Werkstück's thread, the thread does not meet the required standards (Ausschuss)
• Reference Temperature: The Werkstücke and Lehren are calibrated at a reference temperature of 20°C
• On-Demand Calibration Certificate: VÖLKEL offers a Werkskalibrierschein upon request (price available upon inquiry)
• Independent Laboratory Calibration: Calibration is performed in an independent lab following established standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) for each specific Prüfling
