Wow! What a gorgeous and fascinating specimen! This is some of the oldest Amber on the planet formed in what is known today as Burma from tree sap that was from a tree alive some time in the Cretaceous period. There are lots of inclusions in this Amber including Pine Needles, a fly and bubbles among other small unknown inclusions. One of the unknown inclusions may very well be a species of ancient fungi but I cannot confirm this. The color saturation is excellent and the inner brilliance is great. A captivating piece of history frozen in time.
