Ornate Gilt Resin Frame with Classical Portrait Print

A small decorative gold resin with a framed print of Ariadne Abandoned by Theseus originally an oil-on-canvas painting by the Swiss artist Angelica Kauffman. It was painted in England in 1774 The frame is cast resin with detailed scrolling foliage and shell motifs, finished in warm antiqued gold. It has a pleasing weight and depth for its size and displays well from multiple angles. The reverse is fitted with a black easel stand for tabletop or shelf display.
