Wow! Absolutely stunning *RARE* museum quality piece. Gorgeous oval orange spiny oyster cabachon sawtooth bezel ser with rope border. Decorated with four small round turquoise cabachons. Absolutely stunning sandcasted or tufa casted design with tons of high-quality stampwork. Stamped "EL Sterling." Fits a 6.5 inch bracelet sized. Absolutely NO flex. Thick, sturdy sterling silver.

This is OOAK since most tufa molds only survive one cast.

Tufa stone, a porous volcanic ash material found in Navajoland, is used as the mold.
Then, a design is hand-carved into the flat surface of a tufa stone, creating a negative space. Then, molten sterling silver is poured into the carved mold. After the metal cools and solidifies, the tufa mold is often broken to release the piece, making most tufa cast pieces one-of-a-kind.
