In the 2000s, there was a valuable layering system developed for US special forces but never adopted. WAIPER.inc has created the L3A jacket, an ambitious piece that utilizes POLARTEC Alpha™, an advanced lightweight insulation material.

These items, which have demonstrated their performance in the outdoor field, also exhibit excellent performance as military wear. WAIPER.inc has produced this piece with its own unique arrangement, based on the design of a high-performance cold-weather outer designed for the US military. While designed for the US military, its high design quality makes you want to wear it from a fashion perspective.
We have paid close attention to the materials and details, creating a highly complete item that combines practicality and fashion.

The outer fabric uses "PERTEX UNLIMITED" from the British company PERTEX, which is expanding beyond existing outdoor manufacturers. It is a fabric of note that various brands, including those with waterproof and breathable materials cultivated in the outdoor and military fields, are adopting. This time, by using lightweight PERTEX UNLIMITED ripstop nylon, it ensures high heat retention despite its light feel, and it also helps with layering as an inner jacket.

The insulation uses POLARTEC Alpha™, a lightweight insulation developed by US-based Polartec for US special forces.
The insulation, which excels in heat retention, breathability, and quick-drying properties, has a knit structure compared to conventional synthetic fiber wadding, making it flexible and reducing stuffiness. As the name "active insulation" suggests, it is an insulation jacket with excellent functionality from the perspective of active wear, overturning the common sense of existing insulation.
The lightweight feel and heat-retaining, breathable material make this jacket equivalent to LEVEL3, the intermediate layer in layering.
