- Complete Soxhlet extraction kit Complete glass Soxhlet extraction set including a water-cooled Allihn condenser, Soxhlet extractor body and reusable glass thimble with fritted disc, designed for continuous solid–liquid extraction in organic chemistry and analytical labs.
- Extractor body features a 55/50 upper joint and 24/40 lower joint; the condenser has a 55/50 joint and 300 mm jacket length. This configuration is designed to mate with a 1000 mL 24/40 round-bottom boiling flask (flask not included) and standard 55/50 joint condensers.
- Borosilicate 3.3, annealed for thermal shock resistance All Laboy glass components are made from borosilicate 3.3 glass and high-temperature annealed to relieve internal stress, providing good resistance to thermal shock and repeated heating and cooling cycles under normal laboratory conditions.
- Heating & thimble handling guidance In normal Soxhlet operation only the lower boiling flask (ideally a 1000 mL 24/40 round-bottom flask) is heated with a heating mantle, oil bath or water bath; the extractor body, condenser and glass thimble sit in the vapor path and are not exposed to direct flame. To protect the extractor, lower the glass thimble gently and, if desired, place a small wad of glass wool at the bottom as a cushion.
- Applications, packaging & support Suitable for crude fat determination and extraction of essential oils and other compounds from plant or food samples using appropriate solvents.
