The underside and basin exterior are unglazed/unfinished and coated with a matte white protective sealant that prevents moisture absorption and staining. Solid ceramic pieces cannot be glazed on all sides, because the nature of ceramic material requires a minimum surface area be left raw during the glaze firing process so the piece does not explode. The sink is glazed on the underside for a finished look when installed as a console vanity top. Available in differing lengths, this console top in particular features dimensions of 31-1/8" (L) x 22-1/16" (W) x 7-1/16" (H).
