This is a handmade Japanese doll.

The maker considers the balance between the doll and the kimono's pattern, using antique cloth (old fabric) appropriate for the size and hand-sewing it, I'm told. The woven patterns are scaled to the doll's size. It would look unbalanced if the patterns were the same as those on a human. Finding the materials is also said to be difficult.

The kimono, from the long undergarment to the thread, is all silk or crepe.

Even the collar is patterned. It looks like the Meiji or Taisho era.

There is no case, so it will be wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a cardboard box.
