This HP Elitebook 8540W is a workstation grade laptop from about 15 years ago. Even today this is a powerhouse. With 4GB of RAM (maximum of 8 allowed), Intel i7 processor capable of up to 3.3Ghz with turboboost, a 256GB SSD, and the capability to utilize 2 batteries (only 1 is installed) among several other features including discreet Nvidia graphics (880M), this will not disappoint. I have not seen a laptop this old and still this power in a very long time. There is still tons of life left in this and it runs Windows 10 with ease. Windows 10 is installed, setup and ready for you. I do use a blanket account for all my laptops. Please change the associated account as soon as you can or set up some security of your choice.
There is some cosmetic damage that is visible in the picture on the cover. This is mild to moderate but does not effect the functionality. If you're like me, you leave the laptop open all the time anyways, so I never notice those things.
