Faithfully recreated from the B-9 flight jacket adopted by the US Army Air Corps in 1943.
The original B-9 was developed for wear in the very heavy zone (-50°C to -30°C), exceeding the heavy zone (-30°C to -10°C), and boasts excellent thermal insulation thanks to its combination of cotton shell and quilted liner.
The hood and chin strap feature a fleece lining. The front opening is a double-breasted design that closes with a zipper and buttons, and the ribbed sleeves enhance wind resistance. The quilted liner with padding also provides excellent insulation! This is an essential item for the autumn and winter seasons. The outer fabric is made of heavy pique, which is thick and durable.
