  • Recommended by the American Astronomical Society: Seymour Solar is a recommended manufacturer of solar filters for cameras to view and photograph the sun.
  • The Perfect Accessory for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse: This is the perfect accessory for you SAFELY to document the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. There will not be another Total Solar Eclipse in the USA until 2044.
  • Safe Solar Filters: Our solar filters, when installed and used correctly, will protect your eyes and camera equipment when viewing and photographing the sun. The solar glass used in our filters has been independently tested in laboratories to block 99.999% of the suns rays.
  • Slip On Camera Filter: Makes it easy for photography during the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. The filter has nylon thumb screws to securely attach the filter to your camera lens. The slip on lens easily removes once totality occurs enabling quick photographs.
  • Seymour Solar has been manufacturing and selling Solar Filters since 2007. Our filters have been used by amateur and professional photographers to capture amazing photographs of solar events worldwide.
  • **Determining Correct Solar Filter Size**: The solar filter should slip over the sky end of your optical tube. Measure the outside diameter of your optical tube using a ruler, tape measure, or caliper. Measure from the outside of the casing on one side, across the center, to the outside casing on the other side. Order a solar filter with an inside diameter slightly larger than your measurement. For example, if your measurement across the end of your optical tube is 4 inches (102mm), choose a solar filter with an inside diameter of 4.25 inches (114mm)—just larger than your measurement.
