New, never used, only tired on once but was too big for my little brother, so we have bought the size down. We have had loads of use out of the same gaurd in the smaller size, and it's a great fit and verry comfy and no movement when fighting. We use it for karate, but I think it can be used for contact or semi contact martial arts. My brother is 11 and uses the size down however he is on the smaller size for his age so would probably fit an average sized 11 or 12 year old head. You can see reviews on amazon.
