Hands down the best Hyalite Opal ever found in Montana! Brightly fluorescent green under shortwave uv light exposure. Montana is not well known for its Hyalite Opal but in Gallatin County some of these world class Hyalites were discovered on a Basalt matrix that changed all that. This Hyalite Opal is gem quality with superb aesthetics overall. The buildup of the opal is very nicely balanced looking similar to a snail shell. In fact the person I got this from mined it himself and called this specimen "the snail".
