This is a highly sought-after 144, which was discontinued over a decade ago and is no longer available new.
This particular pen is an early model manufactured in the early 1980s, and features an ebonite feed, rather than the resin feed used in later models, which is a key characteristic.
The successor model, the 145, has a screw-on cap, while this one has a snap-on cap, making it more convenient to use.
