I still dig the Joe Mad art, here, showing some serious chops, even before he’d seized the reins on Uncanny and started cramming it full of anime-style costume re-designs (and lots and lots of pinup eye candy—do an image search for “Joe Mad Rogue,” if you dunno what I’m talking about). Story here is kinda a DUD. Think I tried to read the first ish like 3 times before bagging and boarding it then buying the rest out of collecting compulsion. Hey; Comm-cast and his forgotten crew made the cover! Dorks. Also, SLAYBACK! Remember him?! Me neither. :) These are high 8’s to mid 9’s by my estimation (not a pro), as I’d finally kinda learned how to handle comics and wasn’t so often getting em off the drugstore spinner racks by this point.
