The D-Link DGS-712 is a copper Small Form factor Pluggable transceiver that adds an RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet port to any switch or router with an open SFP slot. It delivers 1000BASE-T connectivity over standard Category 5 cabling, so you can extend links up to 100 meters without installing new fiber.

Installation is simple and safe for live networks. The module is hot swappable, so you can slide it in or out while the equipment is running.
