Convatec Stomahesive Ostomy Barrier Paste is a Pectin-base, light tan colored paste that acts as a protective skin barrier. The paste facilitates a seal that helps prevent the stoma output from getting under the skin barrier and making contact with the patient's skin. This paste is used to fill in gaps, scars, or uneven skin surfaces around the stoma to form a more attachable wafer (barrier) to help protect the skin and increase ostomy system wear-time and prevent leakage. Apply to either a skin barrier or to the skin directly.
