Spider-Man 2099 appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Peter David and Rick Leonardi in 1992 for the Marvel 2099 line, and is a futuristic re-imagining of his namesake. His real identity is Miguel O'Hara, a brilliant Irish-Mexican geneticist living in Nueva York in the year 2099.
He made his animated movie debut in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), where he was voiced by Oscar Isaac in the film's post-credits scene. The character will also appear in the film's sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023).
