Install the tool in the flywheel housing and secure with two bolts of sufficient length.Note: The inspection cover bolts are not long enough to install the engine barring tool. Longer ones will be needed.4. As needed, insert the pin (not included) to lock the tool and block movement of the flywheel ring gear.Remove the engine barring tool (J–46392) as follows:‪NOTICE: The engine barring tool must be removed from the timing case before starting the engine. Failure to do so could damage the flywheel ring gear.‪1. Remove the two bolts and the barring tool from the flywheel housing. It is not necessary to remove the pin (not included) .2.
