Binolux 12x50 Binoculars: Cleaned & Enhanced!

Just finished an internal cleaning where haze causing light film covered the hand finished BK-7 prisms. While they were out we blackened the inner facing sides of all four. The side that is exposed to the incoming column of light. Disassembled both Eye Pieces (EPs) where we found a five element lens setup! Blackened the edges of both doublets and the single lenses closest to the eyes. Such helps keep stray light scatter to a minimum and enhances brightness in this single coated classic from the 1950s. Yes, they are that old and now in better than new shape! Views are sharp and bright! Case top was glued up and contains a still working compass! This svellette set was built to be handheld and is at the upper limit for most users. As you use them, views will become steadier.
