Asics EX89 White/Dolphin Blue

The EX89™ sneaker from the SHIGEN 2.0 Pack blends the heritage of the GEL-EXTREME™ basketball shoe from 1989 with influences from Japan's recycling practices. It features a consistent shade of blue that references the idea of recycling in Japan throughout the design.​ Inspired by Japan's public trash cans, the garbage trucks, and the process of sorting the trash into resources this design reimagines the idea of ugly trash with having a positive connotation. The outsole’s pattern is meant to mirror the view of a city from the sky.
