Beautiful antique spongeware style English covered cheese dish.
Bought this probably over 30 years ago and have loved it but need to downsize and part with some of my pieces and find them new home!
Not sure of its age (it’s old!) as shown by the uneven edges and discoloration in it. Because of the more ‘rustic’ nature the lid doesn’t fit flush. There is one very fine and small hairline crack that’s No makers mark on it. Really is a lovely addition to any collection. Please be sure to look at all photos.
