Beautiful painting of a sailboat on choppy water signed A. Destache and dated “‘39” (so I assume 1939). You’ll note 2 flaws in 7th pic: 1) something is smudged on the glass that thus far I can’t remove and it may not be removable; and 2) the artwork within the frame keeps slipping behind the matte, so I’d encourage buyer to open up the back and secure it. One can tap it back into place, as I have for the second photo, but it isn’t perpetually sustainable necessarily. If you like the artwork, I think it’s well worth adding to your collection regardless of flaws.
Anyone recognize the artist name? Wish I did. Couldn’t find anything.
