Larvikite is a type of igneous rock closely related to Granite.
It originates from the Larvik Fjord region in Norway.
It is dark grey, dark blue to black and is composed Feldspar minerals.
Also known as black Labradorite and black Moonstone and has that similar flash.
Larvikite is prized for its high polish and the labradorescence of its feldspar crystals.
Larvikite is a protective and grounding stone, both cleansing to the subtle bodies and facilitating a strong connection to Earth energies. It teaches patience, and can support when completion and closure to a goal is required.
Larkivite is also an excellent stone to use during meditation because it will effectively still and focus your mind.
