If installing on an actual 4-inch × 4-inch post, no rubber seal is required. You may seal minor gaps yourself using a small amount of outdoor weatherproof sealant or waterproof adhesive. Note: Only the 4×4 Post Base Cover (actual size 4"×4") includes the 3.5-inch dedicated waterproof rubber seal.
