This adorable Steiff teddy bear is Nicolaus Baer or Mr Santa . He is number 210 of a limited edition of 300 pieces designed exclusively for members of Hobby Center Toys Steiff Collectors Club in 1987. Hobby Center Toys of Toledo, Ohio was started in 1947. Nicolaus Baer is a reproduction of an original 1956 Steiff Bear. Mr Santa is made of golden mohair fur with black stitched nose and glass eyes. He wears a white mohair beard, a fur trimmed red suit & hat, dark brown boots and belt. His wire rimmed glasses are missing. I will replace the glasses, but they will not be the original glasses. Teddy Bear measures 9 tall. This is a rare bear, only 300 were made for Hobby Center Toys Steiff Collector's Club in 1987. Nicolaus Baer has all of his original tags, but no box or certificate. Clothing, hat and beard are all removable. Our little friend stands at 91/2 inches tall and comes with his own stand marked KAISER Chicago.
