BEYOND A RARE ITEM... This STUNNING amethyst is from my personal collection. Called a Rose of Sharon These were very popular in the late 1800s early 1900s to symbolize the devotion of those apart or worn in mourning. The large natural amethyst has hand carved roses that were filled with 18k gold and a ough cut diamond in the center of each rose. I planned to have this set into an antique setting many years ago and never got around to it. There is a paucity of these out there.
