- For the first use, place the thoroughly cleaned cookware on the stove to dry. Then add an appropriate amount of cooking oil and evenly apply it to every corner of the pot. Put it on the fire to bake for 3 to 5 minutes. Do not clean it. Let the oil stand in the pot for about 3 hours.First use successful.If it has rusted due to improper use, you can add baking soda, cola or vinegar, clean it thoroughly with a cleaning ball, and then repeat the boiling process to restore it to its original condition.
- Note: Cast iron can rust so keep it out of the dishwasher, do not soak overnight, or air dry. Use warm water and scrape off any stuck food with a flat utensil. You can also lightly polish the cooking surface with a stainless steel chainmail scrubber for a smooth patina. Wpe dry and Fire dry immediately after cleaning, and apply a new layer of oil to protect from rust.
